Mandatory Practice Uniforms
Why do the Stalllions require a uniform for practice?
Great question! Here are some of the reasons we have a mandatory practice uniforms:
- Safety: Our first priority is our cheerleaders' safety and well-being. Cheer practice uniforms are designed with cheerleaders in mind, allowing our athletes to practice without worrying about accidents related to range of motion, snagging or tangling their clothing.
- Comfort & Support: Cheer is a high impact sport and requires our bodies to be supported. Cheer practice uniforms ensure the cheerleaders have the necessary support while tumbling, jumping, etc and still allows for comfort.
- Team Unity: Practice uniforms increase cohesion and increased feelings of unity between athletes, ultimately leading to a more enjoyable experience and better performance.
- Hygiene: Moisture wicking fabric used in cheer practice uniforms can help to increase dryness and decrease bacterial and fungal growth while our athletes work hard!
- Professionalism and Discipline: A uniform signals to an athlete that its time to focus. Its one part of establishing a routine that promotes preparedness and readiness. Holding our athletes accountable for coming to practice prepared and dressed appropriately also empowers them to be more organized and responsible while doing something they enjoy.
- Coaching: Cheer practice uniforms make it easier for coaches to assess motion, movements, and form. This allows our coaching staff to give more effective guidance for improvement.
